So I finally jumped on the Twitter bandwagon and started up an account. I wonder how many days it will take before I get bored with it?

I am puzzled but happy that my recycling bin has returned after a month of being AWOL. Where have you been, recycling bin? What dirty stories do you have?

I remember coming home from work that Friday, and I was actually a little agitated that the bin was gone.. but when I came back home the next Monday night, there was a recycling bin - not mine - sitting in front of my garage door. It was an older City of Hamilton bin and it looked a little worn, but I decided to take it in and give it a home.

Fast forward to last Monday. I came home, and my real recycling bin was waiting for me at the top of the driveway. I have no idea what the fuck is going on here, but I now have two recycling bins. They have since become very good friends.

A picture of Earth from 4 billion miles away. As told by Carl Sagan through a montage of classic films set to the music of Mogwai.

"Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light."

Check out an amazing video of a dog saving another dog that had been hit by a car on the highway. The heroic canine runs into traffic and drags the severely injured dog out of harm's way. Rather unbelievable.

The mayor of an oil-producing city in southeastern Turkey, which has the same name as the Caped Crusader, is suing helmer Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros. for royalties from mega-grosser "The Dark Knight." He blames the film for a number of unsolved murders in the hamlet, as well as the high female suicide rate.

These 'zombie' terminators look pretty cool, but Moto-Terminators? Oh dear. I don't like the sound of that. Maybe I could take this movie more seriously if the director used a name other than McG.

I am somewhat terrified that this 20 pound monster can ram himself against my bedroom door repeatedly until he forces it open.
